My favorite pin of the week is a reminder to parents. Help combat entitlement by developing your children’s self-sufficiency. Connected Families gives great advice on this subject. I highly recommend you give the article a read. And, I kind of want to print out their graphic to distribute to every parent who comes into my office. So cute and so appropriate!
So read the article. Then pick out some tasks you are currently doing for your children that they could do for themselves.
Then. Stop. Doing. Them.

My favorite twitter quote this week comes from Sumit Gupta. Here is his advice about happiness: “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” It’s all about being fully who YOU ARE; living transparently in the world. We cannot be happy when we are afraid to be ourselves and act accordingly.

My favorite blog post this week comes from MindBodyGreen. It made the cut because it focuses on one of my favorite topics – adding joy to everyday life. The Title – 5 Ways to Celebrate Life Everyday – pretty much says it all. In this short post Andi Saitowitz provides 5 concrete steps you can take today to add joy – and live as if it is your birthday everyday. She inspired me to go buy flowers. Give the post a read and see what it inspires you to do today.
